Join the AMC, New Hampshire State Parks, the White Mountain National Forest, National Forest Foundation, and the White Mountain Trail Collective as we celebrate NH Trails Day in Crawford Notch. Lend a hand on a Saturday to help maintain some of the most popular hiking trails in New Hampshire's White Mountains.
The day will begin at 9am at AMC's Highland Center in Crawford Notch with a brief welcoming and orientation. Volunteers will need to be prepared for the day and have sturdy hiking boots, long pants, work gloves, plenty of water, lunch, snacks, and other clothing appropriate for the weather. We will be working on the trail rain or shine.
The day will be led by AMC Trail Crew Leaders in partnership with New Hampshire State Parks, and the White Mountain National Forest. After the orientation we will break up into several groups to work on a variety of trail projects on the Crawford Path, Webster-Jackson Trail, and Mt Willard Trail. Each of these projects are a short hike from the Highland Center. We will be sure to provide an orientation to tools and safety, talk about trail maintenance, and then get to work!
At the end of the day we will pack up and hike back to the Highland Center to wrap up with a big Thank You to our volunteers!
We hope you can join us to help celebrate NH Trails Day in Crawford Notch. This program is open to individuals and families with children 12 and older. Pre-registration is required, participation is FREE.
