Sharing Stewardship – The Crawford Path Project 2019
In its second year, the Crawford Path Project continues to provide the opportunity to demonstrate the strength of the trail community working together. The White Mountain Trail Collective, recently approved as a 501 c 3 organization, is made up of partner organizations in the White Mountain Region with a tight focus on supporting trail maintenance and trail maintainers. Crawford Path represents a tangible opportunity to protect the trails and preserve the legacy through an intentional cultural and skill building exchange between clubs. Volunteer events throughout the summer will offer opportunities for unaffiliated hikers and recreators to engage with the people that, for the last 100+ years, have been integral to providing trail opportunities to the public. This project will embody the spirit and perseverance of trail skills and trail culture in the region. Work will start on June 12th with the AMC Pro Crew starting on Branch 1 & 2 (see map above) repairing drainage's, water bars as well as cleaning blow downs.
